a melanated experience with a mission to Ignite, Inspire, and celebrate Black Excellence through recreational activities, workshops, field trips, and more in a vibrant and nurturing environment.
Our leadership team consists of dedicated educators specializing in athletics, innovation, human development, and the power of play.
We have a proven track record in supporting children and families, leading diversity initiatives, offering special programming, and consulting for private schools and family groups.
We are dedicated to offering a camp environment that celebrates Black culture, heritage, and excellence. Through our diverse program themes and activities, we aim to create a space where every child feels seen, valued, and empowered.

Alycia Brown
ADMINISTRATOR
Chandler School
Alycia, the owner of Pasadena Party Patrol, a company specializing in children’s birthday celebrations, has brought her passion for creating memorable experiences for children to life through Crown Me Summer.
With a background in event planning and child-focused activities, Alycia Brown is dedicated to bringing her expertise to Crown Me Summer, aiming to empower young people and build a strong community.
Alycia's notable achievements include establishing Chandler School's inaugural summer day camp in 2004 and contributing to the successful design and execution of over 20 years of exceptional summer programs.

Donny Kincey
LOWER SCHOOL EDUCATOR
Chandler School
With over ten years of experience in the independent school system, Mr. Donny has dedicated himself to nurturing young minds. He has excelled as an educator, co-leading after-school programs, coaching various sports, and offering personalized training in swimming and fitness.
Beyond the confines of traditional teaching, Mr. Donny is also a passionate visual artist, infusing his curriculum with innovation and creativity. His commitment to sustainability shines through as he encourages his students to explore artistic expression using recycled materials.
Currently, Mr. Donny brings his expertise to second grade, where he fosters a sense of empowerment among his students both in the classroom and during playtime. Drawing from his background in kinesiology, he implements strategies to help students feel confident and secure while exploring new games and activities.

Whittney Rooks
MIDDLE SCHOOL EDUCATOR
Brentwood School
Whittney Rooks is an actor, director, non-profit organizer and facilitator, youth educator, and member of the @pasadenapartypatrol crew. She holds her degree in Performance and brings with her a multitude of embodied practices and rituals for self-expression.
As a youth educator, she has trained teams of teachers and camp counselors on the importance of playing games, attuning to the needs of your students, and cultivating a culture of creativity for healthy minds and bodies.
